Book cover titled "Redesigning Value" with geometric line art of squares and circles, and subtitle "A Practical Manifesto for Designers and Organizations" by David Dunne, Chris Ferguson, and Paolo Korre.

Coming March 2025

Drawing from real-world examples and insights from over one hundred designers, design experts, leaders of design labs, and design β€œskeptics” at leading organizations, including Google, CNN, Citi Bank, Fidelity Insurance, the Mayo Clinic, and Shopify, the book provides a road map from leaders who have been there and a practical manifesto to inspire the sort of action our world so sorely needs.

Redesigning Value is an inspiring and practical road map for how leaders can unleash the power of design to deliver new forms of value for organizations and for society..

Behavior Design at CNN

2022

I spoke at the Behaviour & Design Conference about the work of the product strategy team at CNN and how we unpacked how and why users consume the news. I described the process of defining user archetypes that CNN uses to group users by their motivations, pain points and jobs-to-be-done. I described the 5 Breaking News archetypes we uncovered, how each consumes the news differently and how we can build products and features to meet their particular needs.

Building User Trust

2021

when we will be joined by some fantastic panellists to discuss the best ways of engaging with users, as well as how to establish strong and trusting relationships with them.

One of these panellists is Dr. Jayesh K. Srivastava, PhD 🀡, Principal Design Strategist, Core News CNN. In his previous role at BCG Digital Ventures he built and launched digital companies across the healthcare, consumer and fintech industries.

His work focused on leading teams to deeply understand user needs, attitudes and motivations, translate them into market opportunities and then develop products that users would keep coming back to.

Come to this event and hear from Jayesh and our other excellent panelists πŸ—£οΈ who will share their professional experiences and insights to help you build trust with your users.

How to Grow Design Thinking in an Organization

Doctor’s Orders: Interview less, synthesize more

2019

I gave a talk at a BCG Design Conference on how to design research studies better to yield better and richer insights.
